Commissioned by Tauranga District Council for the

He Puna Manawa, Tauranga’s new library and community hub,

part of Tauranga CBD’s civic precinct redevelopment, Te Manawataki o Te Papa.

I am extremely grateful and humbled to have my work Welcome Home (Multiflora) acquired as part of the civic collection and for it to reflect stories of Tauranga's diverse community.

1600mm in diameter, Welcome Home (Multiflora) took over a hundred hours. It is an acrylic on canvas featuring over 50 flowers representing the hundreds of people I and the project team at He Puna Manawa engaged with as a part of this project.

In particular I thank Tauranga Libraries and Community Hubs manager Joanna Thomas for her unwavering support, and all of the many people I have met with and contributed their culture and stories to this very special painting.
